Plans to continue the English Premier League is definitely underway as the English Football authority has concluded plans to restart the season with a clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United on a Friday night.
According to an English news site, Daily Mail, even though all 20 clubs are yet to reach a conclusive agreement on the restart, the English Premier League is pushing ahead with its plans and have already drawn up a timetable for how the season is to be concluded.
According to the plan formulated by the League management, a plan has been stipulated to have fixtures of football games every weekend, with matches to be played across Saturday and Sunday while some fixtures will be scheduled in between Monday and Friday night.
To kick off the resumption of the season, a match between Manchester United and Tottenham has been scheduled to be the first fixture of the abridged end to the campaign.
It is one of the games which was due to be played on the weekend the Premier League was suspended as a result of the coronavirus attack which ravaged the country leading to the suspension of all social events including sporting activities across the world.
The first scheduled match will be played at Tottenham Hotspurs’ new stadium. This decision was made after English clubs rejected suggested plans for them to play at neutral venues.
However, the Premier League is yet to inform the press and public if the league is to commence by June or July and players are yet to resume training unlike the German Bundesliga and Spanish La Liga where football players have already started trainings in their respective clubs.
The English FA suspended the Premier League after Arsenal Head Coach, Mikel Arteta and Chelsea Forward, Callum Hudson-Odoi tested positive for the dreaded coronavirus. Both coach and player have now tested negative after treatments.
